[Leiden], Ex Officina Elzeviriana, 1627, in-32, 282-[4] p., plein vélin de l'époque à petits rabats (traces de mouillures claires). The first part of the work (pp. 5-144) contains eight chapters on Scottish geography, history, trade etc. De Laet has compiled most of these from the works of three English/Scottish historians. The second part "Respublica sive Status Hiberniae" (pp. 145-274) contains 6 similar chapters on Ireland, most of them by Camden. This part has its own typographic title page. Finally a separate leaf with the privilege from 1626 on recto and the colophon on verso : "Lvgd. Bat. Ex Officinâ Elzeviriana Anno MDCXXX". This 1630-edition is an exact copy of the 1627-edition, with the same engraved title page dated 1627, but with 282 pages i.s.o. 280 and a colophon stating 1630.
